Safety plan

During a suicidal crisis, it can be difficult to think clearly and systematically. Having your safety plan close at hand means you will simply need to follow the steps one after the other until you are safe again. You can create a safety plan on your own by choosing one of the options below, or together with a specialist—such as a psychiatrist or psychologist—at a healthcare facility. You can also ask a friend to help you fill out the safety plan.
